The app is the perfect companion to the online CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet, making it easy to do everyday tasks while on the go. Check your menu plan, swap meals around, log your weight, view your daily food units and check your shopping list - all from your phone!

If weight loss is your goal, the TWD app will motivate you to stay on track.

Sync data from your favourite devices to make it easy to track your exercise and weight. The Total Wellbeing Diet uses HealthKit to read (not write) physical activity and body weight data from devices you have allowed Apple Health access to. Syncing is optional and can be revoked at any time.

The CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet is a higher protein, low GI eating plan that is scientifically-formulated by Australia’s national science agency. Thanks so much for achievable weight loss

Over recent years while trying to lose weight, I’ve heard a lot of “Oh, it’s very difficult for a woman of your age to lose weight”, but not accompanied with any advice about what I can do about that. This program has helped me to surpass the goal my doctor set me - to be under the top of the normal weight range for my height and now I’m powering on to the goal set by TWD, which is within reach. I found the meal tracker really helpful, allowing me to see how what I was eating was adding up in the food groups and units each day. I could then adjust what I ate during the rest of the day, to help achieve the daily targets. Tye recipes are great and I like being able to swap what’s on the meal plan. The exercise program was great. At first some if the exercises looked a bit overwhelming, but as the weeks went on and I became stronger, I found I was able to do them, which gave me a great sense of achievement. The indulgences were helpful, but I’ve also learnt I need to limit them and to make changes for the long term, not just the 12 weeks. Thanks so much for your helpful program. Louise M

Great program!

I’m really enjoying the program, and finding the tools, such as the tracker and the meal planner very useful, along with regular program reviews and guidance from Hope, the AI guide! I have lost 27 kilos in a bit over 12 months which is very pleasing, especially as I haven’t felt too hungry, which is something that has happened to me on previous diets.
This means that this program is sustainable for me. The face book support group makes a big difference too, with lots of expert tips and motivational messages helping to keep me on track.
When I achieved a milestone of officially being overweight instead of obese after many years, everyone reacted very positively to my post about my achievement, in a way that only a community of like minded people would be able to.
The last 8 kilos that I need to achieve my goal weight are proving to be a challenge, but I feel that I will get there eventually.

The TWD has really worked for me. What has helped the most is the varied suggestions for meals and the suggested amounts, and the exercise routines. The weekly measurements have revealed much, and give a good indication of progress of weight distribution. I have reached my goal and have lost a total of 10 kilos in three months. My ultimate goal is to lose another 5 kilos and I am on track for that achievement.
What I have found unhelpful, however,is the generic comment from your weekly assessment after weight and measurements have been sent in. It appears that the weight loss is the only yard-stick that is noted. I have plateaued in my weight for a few weeks, but my measurements have changed favourably. The computer generated comments have been quite derogatory and presumptuous. I would prefer a more personal feedback.
