Useful, but sales prices are seemingly not up to date.

Seems to be accurate for regular prices of items, but I’ve found quite a few times that when an item is showing as on sale in the Frugl app, it’s not actually on sale in store/on the store website or app, which is disappointing.

No unit price, filtering or non-Colesworth shops

Ultimately the app is worse than opening the Coles and Woolworths websites and checking prices yourself. The categories, filtering and sorting options on those sites also makes them a lot easier to use than the Frugl search function.

Aldi, Foodland, IGA, NQR and Drakes do not show up on the app, even though I have all the possible supermarkets selected. I even set my address as the local Aldi in case the app thought I was out of range, but got nothing. If the app had Aldi and Foodland prices, I would keep it, as these shops don’t have their own online shops to check.

The share functions are no good, as the recipient can only view the lists in the app. There is no export function in case you want to import the data to a different app or spreadsheet.

Only random items show unit price, which is a pretty critical failure for a price comparison app.

Nice idea but lacking in 3 major ways: no options other than Colesworth, no filtering/sorting, and no reliable unit prices. Plus the app itself is over-engineered, with a pushy but unintuitive design.

Maybe it will improve, but for now I am deleting the app.

A must have for any savvy shoppers

I have used similar apps in the past but Frugl has blown me away. Not only is it well developed and easy to use but the features are fantastic. I can put in any dietary requirements my family has and it makes shopping easier. Each week I save around $40 from my family shop and it’s helping me make better food choices for my family. Thanks Frugl 😀
