Rookie gains & DOMs return <3

Dear Uncle,
It has been a long winter filled of chest tris, back bis, legs & accessories, rinse repeat.
I was saddened and unmotivated at the thought of the gym, a happy past time turned to a boring and repetitive cycle whilst surrounded by beautiful people who also know no better. As I plateaued I began to search for more, for something greater, some bigger than my own imagination and like a gift from the gods your beautiful hair graces my Instagram. I begin to learn, understand and enjoy the gym again. After week 1 of your full body program I cried, not because of pain, not because of the DOMS but because once again I felt rookie gains and pumps appearing, a dark period had turned to light and I was mentally and physically challenged. And as I wiped my tears I smiled and everyone knew I had done it, I had downloaded Ganbaru and changed my training forever, more educated, more stimulated and more passionate about growing long beautiful hair than ever. Thanks for your wisdom Uncle, I hope I make you proud.

Don’t let a man write a woman’s programme

I’m an intermediate to advanced female trainee, typically keeping the intensity high (anywhere from 0-2 RIR, depending on the exercise). I started with « Women’s Prime » program and found the volume too high and the exercise selection non-coherent most of the time. By the time I finished the leg-portion, I was too exhausted to finish the upper body section. On Day 2, there are 2 variations of RDLs which left my hamstrings feeling fried and took me 3 days to recover, so I couldn’t complete the volume for the week (please note there are RDL’s scheduled on other days too).
« Women’s Hybrid » is high-volume for upper body and minimal volume for legs; isn’t is common knowledge that women want a nice booty? Then, I looked at the « High Volume Glutes » and there is NOT ONE movement for the quads; every single exercise is « glute focused ». I gave up as I would end up with a very unbalanced physique if I kept going. Finally, the food tracker doesn’t recognise basic worldwide brands nor the barcode scanner comes up with a result (I’m in Australia and so is the owner of Ganbaru), so I ended up having to enter everything manually. Too many bugs too.
Overall, not worth the price. Ladies, go check Brett Contreras and Dr. Mike Israetel. Those guys get it when it comes to women’s physiology and physique goals.

Hi! I think there may be a bit of a mismatch in what you were doing vs what was given.
First of all, WOmen's Hybrid is 3 days Legs, 1 day Upper - That is clearly NOT high volume for upper/minimal for Legs, so I am unsure as to where you got the impressino of the opposite.

High Frequency Glutes features at least 1 Quad focused exerise on every training day (out of 3-4 movements per day)

Women's Prime is designed as an low intensity endurance based program - it is possible you were doing it NOT as prescribed in the program notes, and wound up lifting too much weight which is whyyou were not getting the intended effect.

Food Tracker - We do hear you on that! As an Australian I have found about 8/10 of typical barcode scanned items working. While no database is complete, we are working daily at updating and improving our list.

Training made easy!

I’ve been a subscriber of Ganbaru for 2 years and after my free subscription was up I knew that this was exactly what I needed for my workouts. Now with the AWESOME update the flexibility on how I train, what programs to follow and the ability to create my own workouts and programs, it has made training SO much better and fun AND never boring! There are so many coaches on this app to assist you and an amazing community of gym enthusiasts ready to give their advice if you need it.
