Happiest Baby, makers of SNOO 4+

This app is wonderful for tracking my baby’s sleep, breastfeeding and nappy changes, as well as operating our Snoo remotely. It is easy to use and pretty to look at. I’ve given it 4 stars because there are a few bugs - i.e. it would be great to be able to record sleep in time from start to finish, rather than have to calculate the duration; when recording nursing manually, the time needs a few extra clicks than necessary. These can be extra cumbersome when trying to record one handed whilst breastfeeding and/or while sleep deprived. Otherwise, thank you for a great app!

I am extremely disappointed with the SNOO smart bassinet from Happiest Baby. When I purchased it, there was no indication that a subscription would be required to unlock all its features. This blatant money grab feels unethical and greedy, and it seems like a bait-and-switch tactic. I saved up to be able to purchase a preowned SNOO, and now the subscription is an added expense I cannot afford. It feels like I am being punished for buying a preowned bassinet for my baby because that’s what I could afford. If Happiest Baby wants to implement a subscription service, then it should only be for new buyers who are fully aware of the terms. For example, it’s like asking buyers of preowned cars to pay for a subscription to drive their car months after they paid for it. it does not make sense. Happiest Baby sold the SNOO promising all of the features as standard on the mobile app but has now withdrawn some critical features to squeeze more money out of their customers. This is completely unfair. If I had known that a subscription would be implemented, I would never have invested in such an expensive product. This is not only frustrating but also feels like a deceptive and exploitative business practice. I strongly advise potential buyers to beware of this hidden cost.

We used the the app to enable Snoo functionality and logging. The app that provided our ability to log and modify settings suddenly transitioned to a monthly paid subscription. I don’t know how this is ethical particularly as there was no announcement or heads up to users that this would go subscription and they have effectively erased all our logs for the last 5 weeks. So what was free is now a paid service and the logging feature wasn’t even great! We just put up with it because it integrated with the Snoo. But it had so many glitches and many occasions it wouldn’t log our nursing sessions even though we saved it. Now they’re charging customers for it as a premium feature! What a joke.
What more infuriating is that the features they market to customers like the weaning and car jiggle feature now comes under a paid premium subscription. It’s like buying a car and then the car manufacturer saying, you know that Bluetooth feature in your car… well if you want to continue using it you have to pay a monthly subscription. We already spent a fortune purchasing the Snoo, now your charging us for stuff that originally came with it?! Absolute greed!
