iCab Mobile is a web browser for the iOS. It provides many unique and useful features you won't find in other iPhone browsers.

The Watch App is a remote control for iCab Mobile, so you can navigate, zoom, scroll, open bookmarks, links, the homepage, switch tabs or sitch on/off the fullscreen mode. Since watchOS 6.2 you can also open web pages and browse the Web directly on the Apple Watch. But there are still limitations: there are no navigation buttons (back/forward) available.

iCab Mobile can upload any files on web pages.

iCab Mobile comes with several default search engines you can choose from. You can easily add new search engines.

iCab Mobile can save web forms and restore the form content later (manually or automatically). The saved forms data can be password protected. Supports many third-party Password Manager Apps as well.

There’s a built-in fully customizable filter feature. It allows to block resources, ads, banners, user tracking scripts, cookies etc. Supports AdBlock Plus/EasyList filters as well.

iCab Mobile supports Tabs, so you can open multiple web pages at the same time. Links can be opened in Tabs (in the foreground or background) manually or automatically.

Bookmarks can be organized in folders. You can import/export the bookmarks from/to your PC/Mac browser.

iCab Mobile provides a fullscreen mode where the whole screen is used to display the web page. No screen space is wasted for toolbars.

iCab Mobile has a built-in Download Manager so you can download almost all files from the internet. The downloads can be easily transfered to a Mac/PC/Linux computer but also to other Apps on the device which can open these files

You can create multiple user accounts, each user has its own private bookmarks, filters, settings, etc.

iCab Mobile supports Dropbox. Export/Import bookmarks; transfer downloads, images, files, web pages to your Dropbox account.

In this mode, you can have two browsers side by side on the iPad. This is especially useful on the large iPad Pro.

The App is also accessible for visually impaired and blind users. If VoiceOver is enabled, the App plays soft ticks while a page is loading, so blind users are able to identify when the page load has finished.

The App includes a store providing several InApp purchases. These are meant as a tip jar. The InApp purchases are available for different prices, so you can pick the amount for the tip yourself. Doing so will unlock a few cool features as a reward, these are always the same, regardless of the amount of the tip. Users who have purchased the App within the last 12 months do get all these features for free, no need to buy one of the InApp purchases. Though they can nevertheless give me a tip, if they want to... ;-)

What’s New

Version 10.6.7

- Since iOS 15 there's a new menu item available for the action menu, which allows to directly pause all media output (audio/video). This works on a global level, so you don't need to know which tab plays audio or video content. This menu item is also available in the contextual menu of the Tabs, so you don't need to add an additional item to the action menu.
- The user-defined Browser IDs can now have their own name which is used in the list of IDs in the settings. This allows to distinguish the IDs by name instead of by ID. If no name is given, the ID is listed.
- In the bookmarks window you can now sort bookmarks in "edit" mode. You can sort by name, URL, label and date
- In the "web site" settings there's a new option which allows to automatically redirect Youtube shorts to their "standard" youtube video page. This is useful if you prefer the full featured video player of "normal" youtube videos over the primitive video player of the "shorts".
- There are now complications available for the Apple Watch, so it's possible to lanuch the Watch App from within a watch face
- The default keyboard shortcut for „Close Tab“ has changed from Cmd-W to Cmd-Shift-W to avoid conflicts with a new shortcut of the Stage Manager on iPads. (Important: The shortcut will change automatically only if the user has not yet done any changes for the shortcuts).
- Bugfix: Fixes an issue with the auto-update feature of AdBlock Plus filters
- Bugfix: Saving web sites on WebDAV servers did not always work
- Bugfix: Searches done in private tabs will no longer added to the search history

iOS web browser that deserves a lot more attention than it gets, I have been using this for years and haven't found another browser that offers the amount of functionality and customizability that this one does. The only shortcomings I have are with the limitations of the WebKit browser engine itself, such as lack of flash and webm support. The download manager is extremely useful and the customizability of the UI is second to none.

Great app

This is an amazing browser with soooo much customisation available, there are two things I would ask to be changed though.
1. The icon for quickstart bookmarks should be able to be changed so that it can have the websites logo or whatever
2. The tabs icon should be changed around so that it’s easier to switch tabs with one hand, especially on the iPhone X it’s quite high up

Intermittent stalling

An amazing browser I purchased and have been using on and off since iPad 1.

It offers so much it’s difficult to criticise, but now it may be playing poorly with the new iOS 11. I’m experiencing unrelated and non repeatable stalls on occasion, requiring closing app to clear up. I utilise many gestures and tabs on Pro 10.5. No issues with other apps or browsers.

Hopefully I’m not the only one and the matter can be pinpointed and addressed. I wish I could be more helpful, but there is no one specific thing triggering the instability for me.
