MoneyGram is honestly the cheapest way for me to send money overseas to my family. The other services I’ve used in the past such as WesternUnion or Ria just wasted my money in send fees. If I really think about all the money I could of saved doing the transactions with moneygram back then. Anyways Love the app very easy to understand and my family overseas receives there money instantly. The rates are good but I know this is wishful thinking but can you make the rates even better. That would be amazing.

I tried a couple years ago to use the app to send money to a family member overseas, the app didn’t work! I didn’t use the app for a long time and then i tried to do the same just today still the app is very very slow and it doesn’t work at all gets stuck in the first and second step of setting up. No email confirmation received nothing, very useless.And then i tried to check the locations that I can send via cash, you know what 3 of these locations even tho the app says it’s open it is not. The number sometimes it rings but no one answers and sometimes the phone numbers of the businesses that supposedly do the moneygram transfers it doesn’t exist even if you try to ring them. I have had very bad experience from this app and moneygram in general. I have found Ria and Remitly instead at least work.

Easy to Use, But Could Be Improved

MoneyGram is a good and easy way to send money overseas. I have used it to send money to Afghanistan and the process is simple.One thing I would like to see improved is the pickup information. After sending money, I only receive the reference number, but it does not clearly show where the receiver can collect the money. It would be helpful if MoneyGram displayed the available pickup locations for the receiver, so both the sender and receiver know exactly where the money can be collected.Another issue is that when I press the send button, the screen sometimes turns white for several seconds while the transaction is processing. This can make users think the app has frozen or crashed, and they may close the app by mistake. A loading screen or progress indicator would make the experience clearer and more reassuring.Overall, MoneyGram is a convenient and reliable service, but these improvements would make the app even better.

The most easy and convenient mode of remittance. While others require so many documents in spite of the multiple remittances history to the same persons and account details. They will still complicate it at some stage of the transaction. Takes forever to review the documents submitted, inconvenient and very frustrating. I hope moneygram will still stay as easy as possible. Thank you moneygram!
