So far works perfectly. All apps and necessary sites blocked on my iPhone and PC. I’m surprised about the all the negative comments, works better than expected. I think the big issue people are having is the user interface is not the smoothest, so people are not configuring their blockages properly. Took me using 3 of my free trials before the blocks worked. Additionally, it should support chrome on mobile not just safari.

I downloaded this app because I have always struggled with procrastination and endless scrolling on social media. I’m currently doing my masters degree and decided to try this app to reduce my time wasting so I could focus more when doing assignments. This app has been a literal game changer. I’ll set a block (usually 5 hours) to help me focus on study and the amount of times I’ve mindlessly picked up my phone to check Instagram or Facebook or whatever, remember my apps are blocked for the next few hours and thought to myself “oh… ok they’re blocked… ok I guess I’ll keep studying/writing my essay/doing daily tasks/reading my book (or whatever it is I’m trying to focus on)” is insane. I’m way more productive now and when the free trial finished I was happy to pay for the premium version. $63AUD for the year seemed VERY reasonable to me given how effective it has been and the value I get from this app far exceeds this small one off payment. The developers of this app have definitely done a great job and to anyone out there looking for an app that will help them with productivity and cutting down on screen time, I strongly recommend at least trialling this app.

I’ve been using this app for the last 4 years whilst I’ve been studying and it has been a gamechanger for my productivity! Works super well on both my Macbook and iPhone to help me avoid procrastinating on a different device - which serial procrastinators would know that where there’s a will there’s a way, except with Freedom! I’m the kind of procrastinator who needs that extra level of prevention so I can’t just turn off the app. The ultimate tool for self discipline! If like me you can resist everything except temptation, then Freedom is the focus tool for you! 10/10 highly recommend.

Worst app ever - in Australia

I downloaded the app across my three Mac devices: iPhone, iPad, and Mac Air and foolishly bought the premium version. I set up recurring schedules, Blocklists, and the extra bit of software when prompted. They app dutifully recorded my sessions. The problem was it was so buggy somethings were blocked on some of the devices, some of the time. No only was that super frustrating. When the sessions were over, stuff remained blocked for variable lengths of time. Got so sick of this app, I ended up having to delete the app off every device. Also customer support is in the US so no convenient at all for Australia.Since my earlier comments, I have received a refund very promptly. The developers kindly offered to try and trouble shoot the issue but I just don’t have time to fiddle around with this app at the moment.
