About our subscriptions:
- Free trial requires activation of annual subscription (see in-app product pricing). During these trial periods, you can cancel anytime free of charge, as long as you do so before the final 24 hours of your trial.
- Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate.
- Payment will be charged to your App Store Account.

This is an update to my previous review found below avast listed and added what I wanted definitely a happy long time customer and the app improvements overall have been fantastic I first got this app back when it did nothing noticeable but now I’m happy to keep paying the annual fee and hopefully all products offered can be combined into a single annual fee.I’m hoping that Avast might take the leap into Data recovery software that would be awesome and I trust Avast over those money grubs wonder ease tenor etc overpriced for a product that was once free in windows sad times.Keep up the good work all the good folks apart of the Avast team!!! I have been using this app for over two years now and honestly it does not do anything, really the main reason I have kept the app is on the hopes that avast would add the ability to set the vpn location but sadly it hasn’t been added so once this year’s subscription is up I won’t be renewing the subscription!!!

Worst security software and support

I had high hopes for this software which seems to have deteriorated over time. Recent problems ( on multiple devices) prevent accessing email if any of the protections are enabled. Recently a comical “a thing has been detected” started. Then it progressed to “to two things” (that’s their error message not my words). Reporting this to their tech support together with their self generated log file produced a vacuous response. These people seem to invest a lot of time developing advertising prompts and none on debugging the software or helping the user.I’d suggest these people are inept. I tend to think that protecting the fare paying user is low on their list of priorities. I’ve been a serious web user for 30+ years and can say without hesitation that this company doesn’t deserve any support. I wish I could attach screen shots of their error messages about “a thing” problem being found.Needless to say I won’t be renewing my subscription. Shame on you Avast and your polite but useless tech support. Oh yes - and replying to their request for more info gets the robot response “can’t ID the ticket number which is in the message subject and quoted in the message. What crock is this …

I quite like this app so far and it makes me a little less paranoid but I have a few questions:1) Can this app detect any viruses? If so, does it automatically protects your device or does it only notifies you?2) How does this app prevent hackers from hacking your device/account?3) If I keep this app for let’s say 20+ years, will the protection on this app slowly become weaker?(no offense but judging from the comments on the reviews that’s what some people warns you about before downloading this app)But overall it’s amazing so far. If you are able to reply to all my questions that would be very reassuring and helpful THANKS!! :D

Hello, our app protects you from all kind of danger - not only notifies you! No need to worry. Our app doesn't have any "anti-hacker" solution. It detects malware and boosts security, but a usual hacker attack does not use malware to get into your device. To minimize the chance of a succesful hacker attack, make sure to always have your VPN turned on! Our app never becomes weaker since we are always working on updating. David

Well presented App in terms of graphics.,I’m constantly rewriting settings. Once I lock it in I should’ve not have to continually do this, when I get skipped off I’m vulnerable to attacks. Yr vpn does not have a safe list like Surfshark a bypass list which is needed where I live where VPN’s are viewed by greedy fear inducing banks 🏦 to be associated with organised crime , largely VPN’s are a joke. Today possibly malware is confirmed on my MacBook because as I appeared to give Surfshark authority to use their vpn, Avast locks down to prevent this but skips me off other parts of the functionality. Why when I’ve logged into my surf shark account with correct credentials that this would occur as I authenticate an extension for Surfshark. It shows how AV’s are still flawed in 2026.
