I will not lie, this is the first VPN and probably the only VPN I will ever subscribe too for a long-term. It is so easy to use, it has, at high speeds (literally wouldn’t even notice you have a vpn on) on every single site I’ve ever tried to use it for which a different region was needed, and seriously over the last year I have not had a single problem. The ad blocker works wonders, I haven’t seen a pop up since the day I connected. Not to mention for a tiny price compared to other VPNS I literally got 24 months for UNLIMITED devices (which I have a lot of in my family). If you’re trying to pick a VPN or don’t know if you should buy one. Just TRY SurfShark. The features it has cannot be topped and has endless opportunities for you and ALL OF YOUR DEVICES to stay safe and connected, while staying private online! Thanks SurfShark!

As well as below, I keep getting. Locked because surfhsark is in too many black lists. It has a patchy connection that requires lots of reconnecting or changing servers. It’s really mediocre and is not a serious offering. A while ago I had a look at my app privacy report and Surfshark is the all on my phone that contacts trackers the most, including various parts of google. They may well say that it is deidentified data, but repeated studies have shown how easy it is to reidentify data from small bits. Imagine what a group like google can do. The app contacts several domains I don’t recognise, so who knows where your data is going. Every single thing you browse with a vpn on goes through their servers. Given that they are not transparent about the tracking they use, I’m not confident this is a good way of maintaining your privacy. I won’t be renewing.They responded in a way that suggests they don’t know their app is contacting trackers all the time, then obfuscated by talking about encrypting content rather than doing what a vpn’s primary function is - obscuring the sites you visit. They’re selling your data and while telling you you’re not being tracked.

I purchased a month subscription for the VPN. It didn’t work and it’s been over a week since the payment went through.I contacted their support 3 times and each time they basically throw you to apple support instead and refuses to help with anything on their side. I went to apple support like they said the first time but had to come back to SurfShark support as apple couldn’t help. But the following two times after that they basically said, can’t help. They don’t listen to what you’re actually saying and send basically all replies with automated responses. I told them the issue is there’s no active subscription or any subscription for that matter associated with my account even though I have receipt and evidence that I have paid for the subscriptions and apple still shows I have an ACTIVE subscription. It doesn’t even let me pay for another subscription because there’s one that’s meant to be active at the moment. Extremely frustrating. Worst customer support. You’re better off asking your 3 year old child for help in comparison to SurfShark customer SUPPORT.

Having used Nord & Express VPN in the past and having absolutely no issues with them at all, I foolishly tried to cut costs by using Surfshark. The issues are endless, from locations being completely useless - Hong Kong puts me in the Philippines, for example… which, in the case of doing business is a world of difference. This happens with many other locations I attempt which often leaves me no choice but to just disconnect this VPN altogether. Worse still, it has now several times prevented iOS updates to the extent that it rendered my iPad useless for weeks and one iPhone had to be replaced after months of inability to update or access wifi at all. In the end the only thing that helped was a hard erase of the Surfshark app on that phone and then, suddenly, everything was working again (after wasted money on replacement phone, than you). I would not recommend Surfshark to my worst enemy, it’s one thing to waste money on a service that doesn’t deliver, but when that service actually causes serious issues that actually hinder the usability of your devices, that’s criminal.
