The My BMW App is optimised for vehicles built from 2014 onwards. The availability of individual app functions depends on your vehicle equipment and your BMW ConnectedDrive contract. The availability of app functions may vary between countries.

Ratings and Reviews
Good in every respect other than fuel accuracy
This is really a very useful app and has great features.
One of the very useful features is the percentage of remaining fuel and KMs but unfortunately this is VERY inaccurate. After testing several times refreshing the app and updating at the fuel station before filling in one instance the tank took 24.2 litres and the app suggested 71% remaining of a 50l tank (~ 14.5 litres)
Accuracy would be good and remaining litres a handy measure
Terrible. BMW has neglected Hybrids and Servicing
The BMW app constantly asks me to sign in on both my phone and my car. There are no charging spots available for my car in the navigation in Sydney even though there are plenty. I tried to book a service at my local BMW dealer through the app, servicing only the things that needed servicing yet it then asked me exactly what I wanted serviced, after telling me what needed to be serviced! If I wasn’t app and computer literate, I would be SOL. On top of that, I couldn’t actually make the service booking through the app and had to call the dealer. That’s not even the best part. The phone number for the dealer in the app is wrong! It’s got too many numbers. When I called BMW after googling them, I waited a long time on hold and then was told that the staff member that took my call didn’t actually make service bookings because the real person was on lunch. Although she was helpful, it wasn’t really useful. Disappointing experience overall, BMW. I am considering buying the new electric 3 or 5 series but now may be considering other options after owning 5 BMWs.
What was the point of the redesign???
This app feels like a real step back from the current BMW Connected app. Rather than having a native app feel, this app looks and navigates more like a convoluted, badly formatted web page inside a browser. One is now required to scroll up and down, left and right in order to get info or perform functions one could previously see and do without having to scroll. Why do we need to see dealer information or the ConnectedDrive store on the front page - how frequently does BMW expect us to use these links so they put them on the front page? Everything on the front page should be about the car - laid out clearly and informatively without the need to scroll. The layout goes against any basic UI design. Also, fix the date format to Australian. Overall, I do not see the point of the UI redesign - to me it’s a real backward step. But, It’s not surprising considering how badly the BMW ConnectedDrive website has been designed.
