it’s bad on the ios version, so slow and glitchy and hardly remembers what you’re currently watching let alone what you watched in the past. so i went ok, maybe the google tv version is better. somehow it’s even worse. not going to bother to continue past my free subscription which is too bad because i do really like interview with the vampire and there’s so much cool stuff on there i was looking forward to watching (first time i could legally watch possession!). i’ll try again in a year and see if they’ve managed to employ some kind of quality control or UI team.

This app is abysmal. It never accurately remembers your place in an episode, constantly errors, often starts randomly playing after locking your device, and is overall clunky and slow. It’s actually shocking how poor the performance of this service is. Video streaming isn’t exactly a new or novel concept and AMC had the benefit of waiting and learning from their competitors. They could have entered the market and done it right, instead it’s a total mess. It’s a shame because there is some great content but the app experience makes me not want to engage with any of it.

I downloaded this app for the walking dead universe. Not only does it not have the main series AT ALL. FtWD has only the first three seasons and there is no World Beyond. I decided not to cancel my subscription right away to see if some of the other shows would be worth watching, and to watch Tales of the walking dead. However, the app doesn’t even work properly. I’ve had 2 error messages so far and only had the service for 3 hours. The episodes don’t automatically start when the last one finishes. And good luck starting a new episode without disconnecting from the chromecast and restarting the app. This doesn’t happen with Netflix, Stan, prime or Disney+ so there is nothing wrong with my phone or tv. Fix your service AMC or make the shows available on other platforms.

I decided to buy an amc plus subscription to watch the finale of the walking dead, it went through the process, took my bank details but then wouldn’t allow me to enter the app, it said service not available at your location or something along those lines, the process canceled and I didn’t think anything of it, 15 days later I’m charged $60 for a service that I can’t even use.
