I have been with HBF since I started working in 1978. My Mum and Dad were also with HBF.Over the years I have seen a lot of changes, especially price of membership. One thing I can say, HBF has been with us through very challenging times as we got older. You may not see the value when you are young but when you get older and your health changes HBF have always been there allowing operations and treatments to be administered quickly and with no fuss. As time passes you are able to amend your policy to suit your changes. I would highly recommend HBF.

HBF has picked up my good old Goldfields Medical Fund who would supply some rebate for a number of items per medical necessity type claims per the particular option selected. Not having updated to cover a moon boot currently only availability from 1 hospital pharmacy sometimes - here in Northam Wheatbelt WA because it obviously is to new for your HR to have processed it onto paediatrics cover for the growing working population with plantar Fasciitis and then explaining it is not a necessity and is not covered is none sense and unprofessional really

New update no longer allows you to select if you what to use your GapSaver or not. I have my account settings set for my funds not to be applied, yet when claiming online it keeps using my funds and bypassing what has been set in place by a customer service assistant. Please fix so I can submit my claims without my funds being used for the difference.

There are some very helpful and interesting features but trying to gain information on other member benefits is not available within the app. There’s a clickable link that will take you externally to the HBF Momentum webpage but this proved so difficult to navigate that I felt it necessary to call HBF to see what the problem was. The call centre staff member I spoke with encountered the same difficulties. She was tenacious however, attempting via desktop and mobile, both within this app and on the external website, to find the information I was seeking but to no avail.
