Everything works fine except when I try to use the double exposure tool, the second photo doesn’t appear, I have to close app and go back in and even then sometimes it doesn’t work.

Used to be amazing, now not so much

App just started crashing on my new phone this week. Have been using the app since it was created and even used the Desktop version for ages with no issues. Haven’t even dared to use another editing app because Pixlr kept their style and tweaked minimally without changing into one of those super vibrant and bright editing apps we see released every day. But now the app just crashes every time I try opening. Restarted phone and deleted app multiple times to no avail. Very disappointing performance. Hope it gets fixed but I haven’t seen an update for a while so I assume Pixlr isn’t as important to the creator anymore.

This used to be a great app, I used to recommend it to everyone. 2025 - It is now useless. I was ok suffering through the ads initially and have been using Pixlr since at least 2018. Since 2025 ish upgrade, the pop up ads are all about subscribing to the premium version, and in approx April 2025, there was a limit of three photo edits a day. Again I could live with this. But then in May/June 2025, the ad for premium subscription would pop up, and even after waiting 5 minutes, the ad would not disappear and there was no option to save my edited photos. Deleting Pixlr now, it is no longer usable.
Full of bugs, hopeless app.

I’ve had Pixlr for a number of years, however have recently found it to be so buggy it is such a waste of time. When trying to save an image, the app constantly crashes, forcing you to go through all your edits again.When trying to use the double exposure function, it won’t recognise that you have selected an image. When healing an image the app will frequently freeze or crash and often glitches, and distorts the image. Why would anyone be willing to pay for an app that is so full of issues?
- New video transitions, speed controls, and reverse playback.
- New canvas, background, and perspective tools for photos and videos.
- Improved text editing with an eraser, plus bug fixes.
