Absolutely love this vacuum, it has made my life so much easier I can turn it on when I’m not home/running around after kids and rest easy knowing the vacuuming/mopping is 1 less job on my To-Do list when I get home, I can also schedule cleans and section “no mop” zones in the house. It is such a nice feeling knowing the house is that little bit cleaner. Very happy with the product.
The app isn’t great…the cleaner has odd glitches on occasions

The cleaner itself completes its automation routine, but the app never registers this and tells me I need to clean, which is sooo frustrating! In general I like the vacuum/mop as it helps me out a lot, but it can’t seem to map the toilet room so it never cleans here for some reason, and it has had the odd glitch - telling me to install the dust bin, when it is clearly installed and has been in use. I ended up giving the cleaner a shake when this has happened and it then decides the dust bin is installed after all. The app also never records the dust bag as being used and needing replacing, I just end up keeping an eye on it and replacing as needed.

App is extremely glitchy and unresponsive with our new 505. Something as simple as trying to edit the map to “split” two separate bedrooms that it thinks is one room is only met with the “something went wrong, try again” msg. And then having to physically pick the vac up and place into the corner of multiple rooms as it only mapped half the room and decided that was enough on initial mapping run is becoming painful. After having a Roborock prior to this and their app was awesome, very intuitive and simple to use I think Roomba need to stop worrying about trying to place pictures of furniture on the map and just focus on the fundamentals like accurate mapping and making the app work first
How is it possible for this app to STILL be so bad?

Have had Roomba combo 505 for nearly two months. App has been updated since, but it is STILL the worst functioning app I have ever used. If it even connects to the robot at all I feel like dancing. Most days it doesn’t even connect. Information it gives about the robot is usually wrong. Almost impossible to program in anything - app just says “ok, off we go” and then literally nothing happens. Seriously, how is it even possible for a major corporation to be unable to program an app like this at a barely secondary school level? Literally every other robovac app has better reviews, this is just a joke.
