So we paid for the full version of the old quick chippy now we have to pay an extra $20 for the same features with a couple new ones? Don’t get this surely it should be available for purchase less the price of the old app? 🙃
Developer Response
Hi isaiahrupcic Thanks for reaching out. We hear where you’re coming from. The original Quick Chippy app served chippys well for years, but it reached the end of its life and couldn’t be updated or supported any longer.Quick Chippy Plus is a totally new app—not just a few extras. It combines all the old tools (and more) into one streamlined platform, includes the free Chippy Hub, (Have you checked this out yet?) and will continue getting updates moving forward. We’ve kept the price as low as we can—$17.99/year—to make sure it’s affordable while still allowing us to maintain and grow the app properly. We hope you’ll find it’s well worth it over the course of a year on the tools.—The Quick Chippy Team
Blatant money grabbing
ChippyNick1
I bought the old quick chippy apps, and used them occasionally. They were rife with bugs and problems but had some useful features that made it worth keeping (plus I’d already paid for them). Now the developer is bundling the apps together and expecting us to pay a subscription? Outrageous. My old quick chippy app now has an annoying pop up for the new app and then shuts down when I try to use the number one feature that I used previously - the running measurement function. Take my advice and don’t bother wasting your money on this app - the developer is hopeless and doesn’t respond to bug reports and is clearly just trying to get money for minimal effort. There are free online sources for all the features in this app if you do a google search anyway.
Developer Response
Hi ChippyNick1, Thanks for using Quick Chippy in the past. Our original Quick Chippy was due for an upgrade. Due to popular demand to combine all our best selling apps, we did just that. It’s a great way to save time and avoid on site mistakes. We’re quite sure you well and truly cover costs over the course of a year. (1/2hr would do it for most)We’re sorry to loose any of our valued Quick Chippy community, but understand it happens. We’re grateful that so many others are making the upgrade with keen excitement to be the best Chippy they can.

Been using the app for years! Went to use it the other day to set out a veranda and realised I had to upgrade. Have done the upgrade and the new quickchippyapp is elite!! Absolutely love it
Developer Response
Thanks so much for sticking with us all these years—and for giving the new Quick Chippy Plus a crack! We’re stoked to hear it came through for your veranda set-out and that you’re loving the upgrade. Plenty more features and updates coming your way—appreciate the support, legend! 🙌🔨
Extremely disappointed
Sir Kimberly
I was a subscriber to the previous quick chippy which I paid full access for now you are making me pay for it again for the same stuff. I’m extremely disappointed as I can’t even use the original app. There were no terms and conditions saying that you could not use the app if they operating. I suggest everyone not pay for this one as they’ll probably do the same thing.
Developer Response
Hi Sir Kimberly, We really appreciate your support over the years—it means a lot. The original apps gave users a great deal for a long time, but they were no longer viable to maintain. Quick Chippy Plus is a totally new app with more power, flexibility, and updates ahead. The move to a low-cost yearly model ($17.99) helps us keep improving it for the long haul. A membership to Quick Chippy Plus comes with much more than the original set of calculators. We understand change is tough, but we’re backing the value here—and hope you’ll see it too. —The Quick Chippy Team
Thanks for using Quick Chippy Plus - we appreciate your support on site!
All calculators are now fully available offline, so you can work anywhere without needing an internet connection.
This update also includes performance improvements and minor bug fixes to keep the app running faster and more reliably.
