Talk to the assistant, hands free. Open a job, hold Talk and ask. Your own phone does the listening, so it works with your hands full and your audio never leaves the handset. Take a photo on site and it goes straight onto the job card. The job card has a new action bar - Receipt, Photo, Talk, and more behind the dots - laid out the way ServiceM8 does it, so there is less to learn. Register a Mr Sparky QR sticker against the job you are standing on. A short video on the welcome screen showing how the network works. Applying is simpler: fewer screens, and your licence and business details are looked up for you instead of typed. Also fixed: the account screen scrolls properly, you can choose the voice that reads replies back, and new jobs reach the Available tab straight away.

The app is now simply Mr Sparky. Your phone rings for a new job. Alerts are marked time-sensitive, so one still comes through while the phone is on Do Not Disturb. AVAILABLE - work posted to the network that nobody has taken yet. First to tap takes it. NOTIFICATIONS - the questions that used to arrive by text message are answered here instead: who picked up this material, which job it belongs to, and a job that has changed hands. MONEY - pick the jobs for a claim and see the total before you lodge it. Every job says what it is worth and, if it cannot be claimed yet, why not. Photograph a receipt and the supplier fills itself in. Your RCTI, retention and trade account are all on the one screen. JOBS - the job card now shows what the work pays you: materials, your share, receipts back, and what is payable. Tap the address to navigate and the number to call. Pass a job on to another contractor on the network, or hand over work you cannot finish.
