I found this app to be quite accurate, where I park I have to go between some reefs without much room and not enough water even at high tide to go over the top of them. That makes it harder as the reef is hidden at the top of the tide. I zoom in the chart and go in and park with no problems. Worth its weight in gold. Well that my 2 cents worthCheers and free winds

This app could be very good, but its contribution to life threatening hazards is very serious.Firstly there is no indication that a chart has not completely downloaded. At night, at sea 10nm off Tasmania a protruding rock was observed that was not in the chart!! It turned out that when we got reception the chart had not fully downloaded; when the app was refreshed the rock appeared on the chart.Secondly the maps are purchased on an annual subscription. This is not advertised well & when the subscription runs out the maps are no longer available. If you’re at sea with no reception, the app simply stops working (no maps) leading to a very dangerous situation (we had backups; but not everyone does). Hopefully the developer will make improvements. The expected use case makes this safety critical software, and it should be developed as such.

Its very easy to tell if a chart is now downlaoded. Tap on the download icon. If a cell is green, its downloaded. Otherwise its not. Its as simple as that.Green cell = downloaded.The application uses ACID database with transactions to ensure that charts are fully downloaded. Searching for deep river fishing

The details in the maps are fantastic and clearly coded. I’m able to home in on depths and river features which helps understand where and why fish congregate in places. It also helps avoiding underwater structures that hinder river navigations. A top APP.
Conflicting depth soundings

In the area I use the app, it has apparently conflicting depth soundings. There’s no legend to indicate the different meanings. When I write to the app developers, I didn’t get an answer. Nav charts with ambiguous depths are not really very useful!Update: The developers have now addressed this problem, but it took them just short of TWO YEARS, during which time I couldn’t use the app.Indeed, they only responded when I put this review up…

Long touch a symbol and select object query to see a context sensitive legend. Can you please let me (support@gpsnauticalcharts.com) know the lat lon where you are seeing this ? I can use it quickly reproduce the issue and follow up on it (screenshot with latlon is good enough). To enable lat lonlayer, please do the following:- From homescreen of the app tap on menu/over flow button on lower right and select "Settings"- Check the box that says "Display Lat Lon Bar"- Touch SaveWith this option set, the app shows the latitude, longitude of the point
