Description
Loop makes setting timers easier, faster and more beautiful. Start multiple (interval, Tabata, and cooking) timers, create presets, import your own sounds and so much more!
- Easy Start:
The start screen shows the most recently started timers. One click is enough to start a timer. The last started timer can also be started by clicking in the center of the ring.
- Automatic Reset:
After a timer expires, the app plays a sound and the timer automatically resets, so you can start it again immediately. The app can also be configured to play the sound like an alarm until you disable it.
- Presets:
You can save your favorite timers as presets, which are presented in a list. Presets can be edited, rearranged, deleted and started with a tap. You can use text or an icon for your presets, and also change the color as you like. The color setting is also applied to the ring.
- Multiple Timers:
Any number of timers can be started in parallel. The timers will be displayed as nested rings.
- Interval Timers:
You can create interval timers and save them as presets for quick startup. Then, the app plays a sound for each elapsed interval and displays it as a small dash on the ring. Additionally, you can select repetitions for the intervals and name each of them.
- Choose Sounds:
There are already some default tones included in the app. But you can also import your own sound files. Start, Finish, Reset and Interval sound can be selected separately.
- Meditation Sounds:
You can activate a background sound such as ocean waves or white noise in the settings, which will then be played when a timer is running.
- Digital Display:
Do you want to know the remaining time exactly? You can display it as text. Named intervals are also displayed.
- iCloud Sync:
Your preferences, settings, and sounds sync with your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac.
- Automatic Screen Lock:
You can determine whether to keep the screen on when the app is open, only when a timer is running, or use the system default setting.
- Push Notifications:
Loop will send you a push notification when the app is closed if a timer or interval has expired. The sounds selected in the app will also be used for the notification. For this, information about the interval and the icon of the preset will be displayed.
- Interval Quick Setup:
Use the wizard to quickly create Tabata or cooking timers.

Ratings and Reviews
Nice visual timer!
Generally happy to use the timer for subjects need focus etc.
Hoping the timer can support speech making scenarios where the timer can show both intervals time left as well as the whole session’s timing/ progress! Where the loops can continue to run so that the overtime portion can be captured for statistics and speakers’ improvement!!
Meanwhile, if the same timers progression can be shown on apple watch, and vice versa for speaker to be tapped of the timer’s progression and status!

Version 3.5: good timer app + how to make it better
NOTE: This review is about the paid version.
PROS:
Looks beautiful, as if it was made by Apple.
Lots of sound options for each timer’s start, finish, interval, and reset - including the option to have no sound.
When there are multiple timers, you can tap on the timer’s circle to highlight the timer’s data on the left-side, and vice versa.
You can set any timer to infinity cycles, so that it only stops when you end it.
The iOS app can sync with the Mac app using iCloud, so that each app always has the same timers.
The paid version is a one-off payment, instead of a subscription model (which I avoid like the plague).
The paid version is absolutely worth it - plenty of options for each timer: sounds, icons, colours. Make each timer look how you want.
Support for dark mode, which is easier on the eyes.
Works in landscape mode and portrait mode.
Regular updates to squash bugs and improve the app.
HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER:
Add a stop-timer button with an X icon, so we can easily remove each timer, instead of having to tap the skip-interval button and then “Reset Timer”.
Add a restart-interval button with a << icon, so we can easily restart an interval.
Add the option to have a timer go for an amount of time, instead of for a number of rounds.
Add red as a colour option.
On the Mac version, add the option to change the app icon, like on the iOS version, so that all icons are the same.
Offer a trial-version so that we can try all the options of the paid-app before paying for it.
CONCLUSION:
A good app, with some room for improvement - 4 stars.
Only does half the job
Has the option for multiple timers but only all for the same amount of time. Should be able set multiple timers at different time lengthsra

Hi, of course you can set different lengths for multiple timers! Using the time selector, set a different length and tap in the middle to start a second timer. For presets, just tap on another preset icon. If it’s still unclear, feel free to reach out to me at loop@leonboettger.com
