Room for improvement

Not a bad app which seems to have worked well for the last two years I’ve used it. Recently it kept crashing when I opening it so I deleted the app and downloaded it again. I’ve lost the info in the growth tracker from my first son which is annoying because I was only using the app to track this info as I wasn’t able to have face to face appointments with the nurses due to covid. Would be good if you could create a profile so this info is always available.

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much for your feedback. I would really like to know more about this issue. Could you please go to your profile page and in the contact us let me know what type of phone you are using, ie version and software and what version of the MCH App you are using and a bit more information about what is happening. This will assist with diagnoses. Thank you.

Almost there!

It’s mostly a very handy app - tracking the milestones is a good one, not sure why it says “week 1” for my baby’s measurements at birth, very confusing to look back.

Also there seems to have been an error with the latest update as I can’t even open the app now, automatically closes when I click the app. Weird.

This app has all the promise of being a really useful resource and tracking tool for families, however a few things really miss the mark which is a shame.

Developer Response ,

I think all our responses today have started with a big apology. The Growth Charts are being reviewed as we speak in July 2021, I know a little late but they are being reviewed. Stability of the MCH App has also been updated. Hopefully this will now improve. MCH App Team

The sleep advice is terrible

When I signed into the app the sleep toolkit was the first thing that popped up so I went for a look. The information presented in the ‘quick sleep help’ section sets parents up with completely unrealistic expectations from the outset and is likely to set them on a path where they are not in synchronisation with their baby. This could be so damaging for first time parents. I am disappointed that our taxpayer dollars continue to be poured into resources that encourage parents to emotionally detach from their babies and promote techniques that most babies do not respond well to. New parents and their babies deserve better!
