Security options look promising.

Although it is too early for me to assertain it's effectiveness, the new security options seem to offer more comprehensive protection and safeguards for the account settings. I don't find the the App Password idea is not always successful in initiating. It may be like the last version and depend on how you do it. I found that the App Passwords idea only works when you can configure the email accountnmanually. I look forward with hope, but experience tells me that it is only a matter of time before the wolves are at the door again.

Missing Features From Windows Version

Our company uses Office 365 for everything including our emails. We've just migrated from Windows to Mac due to the nature of our design work. Sadly the Outlook version on Mac is missing a lot of key features that windows has. For example when assigning a catagory to several emails we're now unable to be in the inbox, and group items by category and then still see new items that come in that aren't in a category at the same time. Also when using multiple accounts/shared drives we can't drag an email from one inbox to another. If we do this on Mac it creates a copy of the email instead of just moving the original. I also can't turn off notifications for specific shared inbox's. I don't need to know everytime a shared inbox gets an email, I just want it there so I can check it when needed. The category issue is my main concern, fix that and I can live with with the rest. Our team are at the stage we're we may look at other email options as the categories issue is a majour pain point for our entire company.

Usable features trailing behind 'Mac aesthetic' design

Outlook application for Mac is very simple and easy to use, but lacks full use of available features - eg. to add custom calendars or custom colours, I have to use the web client.

Would love the ability to have more control over the colours of calendars/events (AND the text colour, as the auto black/white text picker when changing colours does not always choose the best option - my vision impairment and neurodivergence make having control over the colours/contrast a vital feature for me!)

Also desperately want a two-week calendar view. One week makes it hard to plan ahead, and month view makes it difficult to see details of any given day. Especially since 2 week sprints are such a common work style, having this option would be helpful for so many!

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your feedback and for the feature suggestion. We have a dedicated Feature Feedback portal where users can go vote for their favorite features. In Outlook, go to Help > Feedback > Suggest a Feature - to access Mac Outlook’s Feedback Portal.
