My Uniden 4+

When I first got the product it worked just fine. A couple months in and it started to show some problems...like it would go offline without notifying me, or video stream can’t be retrieved. Lately we barely get any video connection and we have to restart the device so many times so it can work. It’s really frustrating and I can’t see my child when I need to. I can’t believe I bought this product and especially for how much it cost me. Would probably take it down for good and co-sleep with my child...or try something else.

When I first bought the BW150R camera over 7 mths ago it seemed to work fine. Recently I struggle to get a secure network connection which is really frustrating. The camera also drops out of connection allot, so it’s unreliable during the night to use solely on its own, just has not been a trustworthy source. I also have the BW3101 set up as it does not need internet to connect, much more reliable, this is the one I rely on however the rechargeable battery only lasts 3 hours at best which is not ideal. So if I were to recommend one? BW3101 but only if they improve the monitor battery life. Under 3 hours is pretty terrible in this day and age and I get annoyed with having to run back to the charging point. I have never used the lullabies or the lamps as a feature. The temperature reading is good bit 2-3 degrees out between the two units. If I had my time again I’d look for cameras with good sound detection which don’t reply on internet to comment with long battery power (off charge) and I’d buy a proper weather digital temp reader for inside and outside of the house so it’s useful in two areas.
Stuff made especially for babies sometimes just don’t pack the technology or the technical reliability you look for.

These issues need to be fixed with a new app update:
- when using more than one baby monitor, you can only choose sound for one camera. I understand why, but there needs to be a function to enable sound from both cameras (like say 3-second sound cycles for each camera). The only way around this is to have one phone or device per camera, which is really not ideal.
- sound is automatically off every time you connect to a camera. So you need to remember to switch the sound on, every time you use the camera
- there’s no way to run the app in like a background mode (I.e. sound keeps running, while I browse other apps on my device). You’re either in the app watching a camera with sound on, or you’re not.

I feel like the app has been developed by people without multiple toddlers… you need sound, and from more than one camera, that’s what wakes you up if they wake up through the night! And you need to be able to do other things with your phone while monitoring your toddlers or babies, it should be able to run in the background… please fix!!
