Important Notes
• The revamped mydlink app offers more intelligent, customizable, and intuitive smart home automation, as well as improved user experience, enriched features and increased usability. We want to ensure all users get optimal experience, in order to achieve this, the mydlink app will no longer support iOS versions below 10.3.4. If you are currently using iOS 10.3.4 or below we recommend you upgrade your mobile operating system as soon as possible.
• Older D-Link cameras (DCS-xxxL and DCS-xxxxL) can still be used with the new mydlink app, but advanced functionality such as Cloud Recording and Automation will not be supported.
• The new mydlink app does not support mydlink™ Home devices (DCS-935LH, DCS-8200LH, DSP-W110, DSP-W215, DCH-S150, DCH-S160, DCH-S220, DCH-G020, DCH-Z110, DCH-Z120).
• The new mydlink app does not support setup and control of D-Link Wi-Fi router devices. To install and control these devices, follow the accompanying instructions on the router packaging and manual

OK but not great
We’ve had this camera / app for two years now. While the camera is fine given it’s low price point, the app is a complete pain to use. Each time you want to view it, you must close the app first and reopen it - otherwise it just won’t connect. There are various screens, some that allow you to pan the camera and other that don’t. After opening the app, you have to click the screen to ‘view’ the camera. Why? All this is a complete waste of time - just go straight to the main view after opening the app. Need to fix the connectivity issue too. We’ll be replacing the camera soon and it certainly won’t be with another D-Link.
Worked well, until it didn’t
I’ve had the camera (DCS-L6500LH) and app for two months and at first everything worked great (albeit slow refresh in the event & video). A few days ago I noticed more and more clips not recording and saving to events and now today almost every event video has an error message “no clip” and those that have uploaded have an error message stating the video did not upload in full. I have restarted my router in case it was a network issue, restated the app multiple times, checked for updates (everything including firmware up to date). The help and trouble shooting is useless. It does not cover specific functionality issues at all. I cannot find any information about my issues and I feel lien I’m wasting money paying for a service that does not work.

Dlink Camera App
Mydlink App inconsistently connects to camera from an external network, resolved by closing and restarting App. The 5 min limit imposed by accessing the camera from an external network is probably the worst feature requiring the user to repeatedly interact with a dialog box to continue viewing the camera stream. I suggest Dlink makes this configurable in the App so the user can select from 5-15 mins before the continue streaming dialogue box pops up. Overall a great camera. The original version of the app allowed you to adjust the volume of the talk back feature of the DCS8300LH. For
Some unknown reason this control was removed, making the talk back feature next to useless... yes it’s that quiet.
