EDIT UPDATEThe below problems have now been fixed and the app works just as well as the old one but with the added benefit of extra stations to listen to.Preferred the old app to be honest. You can’t select a home station so whenever you start the app it automatically defaults to Sydney and with the previous app if I took a phone call it would automatically start playing again at the end of the call. Now I need to go back into the app and press play again. Super frustrating.

I know others have said the issue with the player resuming after taking a call has been fixed, however, when using Apple CarPlay to send a message or listen to a message (and I would say even when taking/making a call, although that’s rare) I have to go back to the player and either make it play again OR go all the way back to the Home Screen and select the channel I’m listening to again. It seems like such a first world problem, but it’s very frustrating when other apps seamlessly transition between playing and pausing for calls/messages. Other than that I LOVE the ability to listen to my loved “metro” stations while living regionally. It’s great being able to listen to Ricki Lee and Tim each morning on my hour long drive.

I’ve been using this app quite regularly and have found over the last 2 days nova player has used 30gb of data over 2 days with a couple hours use a day. I use it everyday and it has never ever used that much before. Possibly started happening since the last update? Apart from that it’s a great app and I use it daily

I’m afraid I’ve always had issues with this app glitching, looping ads and crashing but I’ve persevered. I usually listen to Chrissy, Sam and Browny on the Podcast but since they’ve returned after Christmas, every time I try to play a specific date it automatically starts playing the most recent upload instead. Between the glitching and it’s insistence on playing something I don’t currently want to listen to, I’m getting frustrated. It’s fine for live radio but the other feature just isn’t working, even after removing the app entirely and downloading again, plus restarting my phone. It’s a shame but oh well!
