Syncing with shared folder is appearing as .url
Dekitza
I had a folder shared with me, and I could fully sync it to my own mac - all the office files were available offline on my own mac (word, excel, ppt). It appeared as a folder in Finder in the Onedrive folder.Since yesterday the shared folder has disappeared from finder, and all the files are no longer on the mac. They don't show up in a spotlight search. The folder has been replaced by a url that opens the shared folder online. The folder is fully available when I access Onedrive through the web.I can also open the shared files on Onedrive through the native Mac apps, if they appear in recent files, or browse to "Online locations", but these only show the recent locations that I had accessed through finder. I can't browse the entire folder through an app.I have tried the following:- restarted the Mac- Signed out of Onedrive and signed back in again- Uninstalled and reinstalled Onedrive- In the web Onedrive I have clicked "add shortcut to my files". This places a url to the oneline folder in finder, which is useless.- Reset Onedrive via "Show Package Contents", etc....Happening on both Mac M2 Air and Macbook Pro Intel, both have current versions of SW for both Mac and Office.
Crashes all the time in MacOS

I am running the latest versions of everything, yet OneDrive continues to have significant syncing issues. Recently, all my files were deleted locally, forcing me to reset and reinstall everything. Even after that, clicking on the gear icon crashes OneDrive, and it often stops functioning altogether. At times, I am prompted to reinstall, only to face issues with my account not being recognized. The only solution seems to be deleting and reinstalling the entire OneDrive package repeatedly, which is both time-consuming and frustrating.Microsoft, we are paying for licenses and expect a reliable service. This is far from acceptable. What options do we have when even basic functionality fails? How would you feel if a product you paid for did not work as promised?

Awful Mac integration
sugarfpixie
I use my OneDrive for certain online-only files that I can edit and have it autoupdate on the go since I use different devices. This OneDrive app did an awful job at keeping files synced - every time I opened a file it would download to my local storage and to switch on autosave (aka online version), it forces me to save another version of the file, and when I open that file again it goes back to the local storage! Switching accounts is also a nightmare. I use OneDrive on my Windows 11 and go figure, it actually works there I guess because it belongs to Microsoft. The Mac integration of OneDrive is pure hell trying to understand its function and you would be better off just using the browser version of OneDrive when you're on a Mac.
Developer Response

Does not work
Puparoo
I have downloaded this app and tested it about three times in the past year and it simply does not work correctly. It constantly freezes and refuses to respond until I force it to close. The issues with it are not rare or difficult to reproduce. So long as you install it and at least attempt to run it, you will definitely encounter them, almost immediately. This should never have been released in its current state. There has obviously been very little testing and it is quite disappointing. I would recommend anyone to use either dropbox or google drive instead, although I assume that the majority of people using this app are on a 365 subscription anyway so there may not be a choice in the matter.
Thank you for using OneDrive. We are always looking to update OneDrive to bring you the latest performance improvements and bug fixes for the best experience.
