Transparency

We just had the unfortunate experience of buying a property blind (without Openn Negotiation)… the agent told us to put our best offer on the table and if we had the top offer we would get the property. We have no idea if we paid more than market value, nor if the agents were being honest with us about other parties who had put in offers. The whole experience was horrible and caused us huge levels of angst. We vowed to ourselves we would never put other families through that experience - we are grateful for Openn Negotiation for bringing transparency and accountability to the selling and purchasing process. It is consistent with our values - honesty, integrity and innovation. 5 stars.

Transparency and search function need to improve a lot

We recently went through this process and didn’t like that we were pushed to offer increments greater than what we wanted. The advertising says that we can adjust the increments but we couldn’t do that during bidding unless the agent agreed. Also we were told the agent would halt the process during the bidding if you had a query but he never did that for us even though we asked so pressure was on to keep bidding so you didn’t lose out.
No wonder sellers love it.
Its unscrupulous and Consumer Affairs need to do something about it.
The search function is so bad. For example, a search may indicate that there are 30 results but it will only display 12 and there is no way to see the other 18. Also if a property is withdrawn or sold there is no information to tell you how long ago it was sold or withdrawn. So I contacted an agent about a property that was withdrawn and she said the property was on the market the previous year and had been sold anyway!

We appreciate your feedback and apologise if there was confusion in how the platform works. In our explainer video, it says the minimum increment can be reduced and the clock can be paused - it is the agent who controls these features. The search function will initially display a selection of properties, but if you keep scrolling, additional properties will continue to appear. However, we are definitely always looking at ways we can improve the apps' functionality and our explainer videos, so thank you sincerely for sharing your thoughts.

The only way a property should be sold!

This was our 4th property we’ve sold but 1st time using Openn. Our agent had showed us the recent sales he’d had using this new method and said he wouldn’t sell any other way now and we 100% agree!

My parents are looking to downsize and we’ll be recommending this for them too as they may be in their 70’s but will see the agent does all the work for you, the ease of use is there to be seen!
