Description

“Orphans” - An interactive horror mystery game

A group of friends sets out to an abandoned orphanage that is surrounded by dark rumors and tales to record more footage for their “Lost Places” channel. Once they get to the location, one of the group members finds your phone number and you become part of the group. Within minutes you're right in the middle of the action. Coincidence – or not?
What begins as a harmless excursion ends in a complete horror show. The mysterious fog thickens and the cameras start showing disturbing images. All communication to the outside world gets distorted and unreliable. Help the group find out what dark secrets are hidden behind these old walls. Is there maybe even a curse on this abandoned building? What really happened in this orphanage years ago?

Great but interesting take on gender

I’m so hooked on this, very invested. In love with the concept and execution, and how it creates a diverse story!

However, two things I’m not too keen on is the very pushed gender roles that come up in some of the dialogue and how it forces you to choose between two genders. As someone who doesn’t identify with either of those genders, it was a little confronting to have to pick.

Boring and a money trap

This game is so slow and boring, nothing happens for hours of game play. Even when you pay for a subscription you have to spend a lot of time on a boring puzzle game just to move forward… why am I paying if I have to watch ads!? This had a lot of potential but it burnt me out, it’s so boring!! I’m here for a horror game, not a group chat that goes absolutely nowhere. Sorry guys, not my thing, this isn’t a game, just a bystander watching imaginary people chat. Don’t offer subscriptions if I still have to play arbitrary games that are not related to the main game at all, makes this all feel like a con job.

was great at first but you need to spend money to continue

I have been getting into the game, however to excel you need to complete the hacking mini games. The were easy at first but now they are near to impossible to complete. You can watch adds to get more moves but only a select amount of times and then you run out and the only way to continue is to spend money. Really disappointed as I was really getting in to the story.
