parkrun 4+

I’ve been using the app for a year waiting for an update to fix the crashing issue. I have multiple I devices and the same issue exists across all of them. Install the app, login, it works great for a day or so, then crashes as soon as you open it. Only way to fix this is to uninstall the app, download it and install it again, then it works for 2 days or so before it crashes again. Rinse and repeat every 2 days. I was reluctant to give a poor rating as parkrun is free, and whomever developed this app also likely did so off their own back, but I figure after a year of crashes, a gentle nudge to hopefully have the issue resolved, might be in order. When the app is working, it’s great, but when it crashes, not so much, and it crashes often.

I'm relatively new to Parkrunning and I love that there is an app but it's clearly not been maintained to support progressive iOS upgrades.

Tends to crash on open, pages often don't populate, interface is clunky and keyboard integration is wonky as hell.

For the uninitiated Parkrun is a community operated nonprofit event that relies on corporate sponsors, which explains why the above is probably so - if anybody from Parkrun leadership is reading, please PLEASE approach somebody for funding or pro bono work to bring the app up to modern standards. We appreciate the organisation and its volunteers, and a slick and stable app would really increase the appeal to new, younger participants.

[update: new phone (iPhoneXS), still crashes after working one or two times and requires re-install. Frustrating. Update required. Also, the interface is lousy, it’s hard to zero in on runs by list, the map is flaky to map search, most Australian runs don’t appear. Please fix this up. I value greatly what Parkrun does and offers and realise it is volunteer based, but surely amongst the volunteer base is at least one app developer who could polish this up and make it special.]

Has consistently crashed on startup through three or more successive iOS updates including move from ios9 to 10.
Was working, now not so much.
Shame and not in keeping with the overall brand quality.
