Version 3.3.23
Photomator 3.3.23 adds optimisations to reduce the app size, along with a few other small improvements and fixes.
• Photomator has been optimised to take up less space on your device by removing unused assets.
• When importing a folder to the Files browser, if subfolders or individual images within that folder had previously been imported, they would not be removed as they should. Fixed.
• In the Files browser, after using the Finder to delete a JPEG that was part of a JPEG+RAW pair, the original RAW would also be removed until the app was relaunched. Fixed.

I’m so glad to see a feature I requested on this app in the roadmap, the dehaze tool!
I love this app and I have cancelled my Lightroom subscription to use this app exclusively.
One thing I’ve noticed recently is an odd purple/magenta tinge added to blues in my RAW files from the CANON RP. I don’t know if this is to do with Apple’s Raw Engine or if it’s a common issue that the vivid blues in the sky become purple with Raw files, but the ML AI features only go so far in correcting it and I find myself needing to select the sky to make additional adjustments just to make the sky appear normal. JPEGS do not have this issue but an edited raw file will have it if not edited out. I think this may be one of those things to do with lens/camera corrections that other people have been asking for—it would be nice to have the vignette in my RAWS be detectable and automatically removed too. ☺️
This is more of an observation and I suppose if there is a feature that addresses this more thoroughly it would be really nice! Again, I’m not sure how common it is that a purple tinge is added over the blues in Photomator but if it is more common then I’m sure it’s something that would be helpful to address 😁 I only mention it because in my editing it has become a time-consuming problem.

Works well
I used this to touch up about 200 photos to go into photo books.
For my jpegs the automatic colour, upscaling and removal of artefacts worked really well. Was very happy with the printed colours. Only thing I don’t think it’s great for is underwater photos - I had to use another program for this. It also did a really good job with some low resolution photos.
Also works great for RAW files although check it works with your camera. Some types don’t work because not compatible with apple. You will also need to sharpen these images along with the colour correct. Unfortunately there is no automatic sharpen colour ( and no guidance) which is a shame. I used a 15px radius with 50% intensity and it seemed to work.
Can also edit in bulk but it’s easy to set up an automation that auto colour corrects, sharpens and removes artefacts. I couldn’t quite figure out how to add sharpen to the automation which was a bit irritating.
Highly recommend this program and every single photo looks great in the printed photobook.
