I’m delighted with the immediate response on the app when I turn on or turn off an appliance. Especially surprising is the jump in power use that shows, when I turn on any form of heater with a fan, such as the dryer or the small fan heater in the bathroom. Even the electric blanket makes a difference to my power use. I’m now much more mindful of what I turn on. Having originally thought this was a scam with dodgy people coming to the door to somehow get personal info, I now fully reverse that opinion because it is quite clear that it’s purely a very useful little device that sits on the meter box and connects to the meter, to instantly “read” my power use. That’s all it does. Nothing more or less. Information that is for me alone, to control my power use if I want to. Great.

I was absolutely shocked to see how much money we spent, daily, on our power….and we are pretty modest in our use. This app has taught us what appliance chews up more money. We can see our consumption in real time on the app. We have cut down costs on cooling, power use and appliances by watching what each appliance is using. We did this by turning on and off each appliance and watching the power meter on the app rise and fall. We soon learnt what was power hungry and worked out ways to cut costs.
I’m very happy we had this installed. The installer was friendly, installation took 10 mins max and no entry to the house was required.

I thought with long range Bluetooth it should connect easily from approximately 15 meters always but I find I have to wave my phone around to try to get it to connect or move closer to the device. I understand that the device range will be reduced as it’s on the outside of the house and has to pass through a single brick wall and plaster wall but range should be very good at 15 - 20 meters at least up-to to 30 Meters when the specified range is approximately 100 meters. Other than that when connected the information provided is very good and allows you to view how much power is currently being used and also history of power usage throughout the day and night. Good little device just improve Bluetooth range or make it allow to connect to WiFi and you will definitely have better range as my solar inverter does.
