Slow to update editions of magazines

The app is generally user friendly and well designed. The main issue is the delay from when the magazine publisher releases a new digital magazine and the time for it to come up on app. I would expect it to be days not several weeks before it become available on the app.

Used to ok. Now not so much

I’ve been using PressReader for many years through mainly my local Library and airport hotspots. I used to love the application but it it is honestly becoming very annoying to work with.

Firstly; After connecting via my local Library’s on-site network hotspot I can access PressReader for several weeks, after which one is forced to travel back to the library, access through the hotspot again to renew access. Ignoring that burden, the biggest annoyance is (and this is true for all hotspots) there is nowhere any indication wether your access is active and/or when it will lapse or expire. Surely cannot be that difficult to do?

I always download books, which in itself is a bit slow, to read offline thus I would not expect delays or issues loading pages. Mostly this is the case except for random “freezes” where pages simply do not turn/load and one have to wait quite a while before a page turn.

PressReader will also randomly crash.

My iPad runs very hot while using PressReader. This seems to be a problem report by others also.

I find myself using Libby/Overdrive more and more. much less dramas.

Potentially a good app

First use logged in no problems.

Went back to use it again...log in page just kept on popping up.
Would say loading...the ask to log in...went around the loop a dozen times before giving up.

Developer Response ,

Sorry to hear! We would need more details to review the problem, could you send us a 'log' from the app, and we will review and will be in touch directly to assist further.
