Important Information
The Qantas Shopping Points-Prompter requires a member to be authenticated in order to track & earn Qantas Points via Qantas Shopping. The Qantas Shopping Points-Prompter will create and use cookies in order to identify you. An encrypted unique identifier (not your Qantas Frequent Flyer number) and your first name will be saved in the cookie. This cookie is stored in your browser so that you don’t need to log in every time you use Qantas Shopping. The cookie will expire after 365 days or you can log out of the Qantas Shopping Points-Prompter to delete the cookie.
The Qantas Shopping Points Prompter uses your browsing history to allow track & earn of Qantas Points via Qantas Shopping. The Qantas Shopping Points-Prompter does not retain or share any of your data, including your browsing history.
By installing the Qantas Shopping Points-Prompter you agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, the Qantas Privacy Policy and the Qantas Shopping Terms and Conditions. Needs work
The tracker panel always appears on the top right-hand corner of the Safari window. This is a problem since sometimes it hides menus that you need to access when shopping on the website. So you turn it off. It then does NOT reappear.
It should be a panel that is free floating so the user can relocate it on the page to provide access to menu items.
I also agree that with other reviews that it is a huge securtiy risk. Why does it need to see everything including credit card details and passwords.
I have had some purchases disputed by Qantas. I think a much better way is for Qantas to send an automatic email with a unique ID number once you are "redirected" to the site via the Qantas shopping site. In this way, you can prove your purchase by quoting the ID number.
Only way to online shop
All my purchases are now through this app. Being prompted for points per dollar helps you earn the most points per spend - winner winner chicken dinner!
Unnecessary private data access
When installing it tells you it will have access to your passwords, phone numbers and creditcard details on all websites you visit! What a security risk this app is. It should not require that level of private information just to provide a prompt when a website has opportunity for points for spend.
