Siri Shortcuts deliver a quick way to get things done with your apps with just a tap or by asking Siri. The Shortcuts app enables you to create personal shortcuts with multiple steps from your favourite apps. Start from hundreds of examples in the Gallery or drag and drop to create your own.

Shortcuts includes over 300 built-in actions and works with many of your favourite apps including Contacts, Calendar, Maps, Music, Photos, Camera, Reminders, Safari, Health as well as any app that supports Siri Shortcuts.

Use the Shortcuts app to:
* Get directions home, send your ETA and start listening to the news, just by asking Siri
* Add a Home screen icon that calls a loved one
* Make animated GIFs
* Make PDFs from Safari or any app with a share sheet
* Get directions to the nearest cafe in one tap
* Tweet the song you're listening to
* Get all the images on a webpage
* Send a message including the last screenshot you took
* And so much more...

Shortcuts can be launched from the Today widget, from Search or by asking Siri. You can even add an app icon to your Home screen for your favourite Shortcuts.

Shortcuts opens up incredible possibilities to automate things you do regularly on your iPhone and iPad.

As seen in WWDC, but with one big problem

It’s great. But here in China Shortcut has some serious blundering in address regarding shortcuts regarding the Maps app. When address input is in Chinese (with iPhone language set Chinese), the Shortcut seems to disregard anything in address line one and two and province and only registers contents in the “country/region” column. This produces ludicrous results. I entered the address of subway station in full (with the country/region filled “中国”—China), only to have it redirecting me to somewhere way north (I am in Guangzhou, which is not far from HK).

I guess the reason is that address in Chinese is written the reverse way as in English, starting with country name and ending with specific street#. But Shortcut apparently does not realize this. It mistakes “中国” in the first line (as anything searched by Maps is put) as the street name. For a specific place I could manually enter the street name in country/region column with everything else blank, but for anything that’s done by Shortcut and Maps, like “Walk to Coffee Shop”, there’s basically no way that it can be used. Plz fix this ASAP🤔

Workflow+

As a big fan of Workflow, it's good to see it gaining some deeper hooks into the operating system now that it's an official app. Some of the new actions are handy, but the best part is the potential, both with Siri integration but more importantly with 3rd party apps now being able do define their own "shortcuts" that can be used here.

The only thing I miss is the IFTTT integration. I'm working around it currently by using webhooks, but hopefully IFTTT can publish shortcuts from their end soon to fill the gap.

The other gap which still remains (which was also the case with Workflow) is integration with Google products. Some may get implemented from Google's end, but Files support will need to come from Apple.

Consider before downloading app

Ok so let’s just start here Hi I’m a very disappointed customer I have recently (10 mins ago) downloaded shortcuts and I am extremely disappointed I try to add the shortcut to my home screen oh but wait instead of telling you how to do things in the app they decided to create a website yes a WEBSITE just for 3 simple steps that could easily be added to the app but hold up don’t leave I’m getting ahead of myself what I’m trying to say is that every time I go to add something to my home screen they take me to this website before I can even press add I will go back into the app (because it takes you to friken safari) and I try to add it again but guess what oh yea that’s right you guessed it IT TAKES ME TO THE WEBSITE AGAIN so after this review I have decided to DELETE this app because it is USELESS so I’m sorry if I hurt ur feelings but it is the truth and you need to hear it that’s all from me but I’m sure I will be back soon with more complaints so please fix all problems NOW before I go is anyone gonna talk about how they updated this LAST YEAR wow
No wonder it isn’t as good as I’ve been told
