Never Again!

There’s nothing worse than being in another country and not being able to access your hard earned money when you need it most. Tried to load my card, got to what I thought was the second last step and the app would take me back to the home screen and I’d have to start all over again. This happened at least fifteen times in a row. I thought it must have been my phone but it was happening to everyone else. The chat bot is also useless in this regard.
I first tried using my debit card details so it would be instantaneous but as I said earlier, it wouldn’t let me. So I had to use the other method and couldn’t access my funds until the next day. I’m just lucky I’m with mates, if I was travelling solo I would be absolutely screwed.
I have never felt the need to write a review for an app before but I am so infuriated that I feel that it’s warranted in order to save someone the ordeal I’ve had to deal with.
I would also advise anyone reading this to go through a different company, or to talk with someone at your financial institution about the best and safest way to access your cash while abroad. You’ll save yourself a whole lot of stress and frustration.

Garbage App Go With A Different Company

I never leave reviews at all, never really been my thing but this app is one of the most dysfunctional things i have ever used. It is laggy, it crashes all the time and the main issue being i can’t load money onto my card. Every time i go to load money onto it i make it to the last step and i am met with an error screen in which it tells me i need to go back to the main menu, give me no reason why just says it can’t load my card. I am a 21 year old, who is pretty savvy with technology but this app is absolute garbage. And when they say to use the website version of the app because it’s more ‘user friendly’ it’s lies it’s equally as bad and i will never take my business here or with this app ever again. If i can recommend anything go with travellex they are 1000% better and their app actually works properly.

Almost a dangerous app for travellers

I’m pretty savvy when it comes to technology, this is to complex, just extremely low quality. Almost beyond belief. I can’t imagine why it has any 5 star reviews at all. As I write this review, their app is down and also their website as a backup. Too many issues to list, but I’m glad other people have. I wish I read the reviews first. Do not expect the app to work more than 10% of the time, even then, the process needs full 4g reception and is a much more lengthy than a normal bank transfer. Often you will need to uninstall and reinstall just to check your account!

Do not rely on this card or app overseas, it consistently fails. You’ve been warned.
