App is adequate but needs some tweaking

The app has the minimum you need to get by, however, the most annoying thing is when you go to create an ‘order’ for new currency to mth with money you are transferring in from your bank or via BPay it makes you put all your details in again then, if you have to back out for some reason, you have to put them all back in again!!!
It takes a while sometimes when you first load it up to tell you the correct balance - it looks real good till the transactions roll in!!
Good things:
You can instantly see what money you have spent almost as you are walking away from the restaurant or shop or ATM!! Depending on your internet speed.
You can see what you have spent in each currency easily.
There isn’t much to see so it’s easy to navigate.
It’s annoying they don’t put any bank account transfer details in the app.
Bank transfers come in and you receive notification - peace of mind.

Worst ever site ,

Will never use again

Recent experience in Europe where Travelex went offline over Christmas and New Year meant extreme stress for many users. Unable to access balance, being told to use BSB to transfer money (which has a 2-3 day delay) or being told to call the number on the back of the card for help (the number is embossed over you idiots! and cannot be read). A brief email was sent more than one week later citing security problems, when in fact Travelex had had a cyberattack. Still no information from the company more than four weeks later. My card had euros on it and I was assured I could use it everywhere. After all the drama over Christmas in Europe it was then suspended on my way home in Dubai because I tried to get Dirham from the ATM machine. Well Travelex, I couldn’t load Dirham and you knew I would be in the Middle East on my way home!
So never again. The stress this caused and the constant trolling through websites to find non existent help was not worth it.

Stole My Money

I’ve spent the last few hours trying to get in contact with Travelex, after the money for a reload was taken out of my bank account and never loaded onto my Travelex card. I have called customer service three times - the first, I was hung up on. The second, I was given another number to call, to which no one answered/the call was declined. The third, I was put on hold for 10 - 12 minutes before being hung up on again. The card has worked more or less fine for me for the last 7 months, but this is really disappointing. I have just moved countries and now have no access to my money, and no way to recover my lost funds. To anyone considering Travelex - DON’T. Aside from this ordeal, the app is slow and clunky, my transaction history has not appeared since June, balance doesn’t update, and the customer service is shocking if your money goes missing with them. You’re better off going with a reputable company like N26 or Revolut for your travel funds!
