Uniden iGO 4+

Awesome cameras, I got the 70R, set it up real neat, spent time hard wiring and hiding all the wires for power and to the rear camera.. Only to test run everything and find out the app is f$$$ing trash.. The app was a selling point for me, so a big, big let down..

I’ve always thought Uniden was good quality, I run a Uniden UHF as well, but this was a big, big let down.. Not very well thought out..

- Basically can’t get anything from the camera via the app..
- The app and the camera basically do not talk to each other no matter how close you get to it.
- Go through the app looking for videos, folders and pics which I can see on the camera’s storage and nothing shows up, it’s just blank pages or it won’t let me go into that part of the app at all
- Nothing on the app to indicate if it’s connected and all OK.. Hard to tell if it’s connected and just not talking, or if the issue is it won’t connect at all.

Have an iGO Cam 80- The camera quality is great and fairly easy to use, however the app is a severe disappointment and basically makes the whole thing unusable and pointless as the wifi keeps dropping out and cannot download videos.
Have since seen other reviews mentioning the same issues but obviously nothing is being done about it.
Let down for Uniden as it makes it then not worth buying their cameras if the app to use it is unusable.

I’ve got the 85R. I went and installed it into van, complete with the supplied hardwire kit. Not only does the camera footage skip when exported manually to computer via SD card, but the App is absolutely useless and not functional. I’m now left with this junk hard wired in and it’s going to be a big effort to switch to something that actually works. It’s 2021, brands shouldn’t be able to market product functions that clearly aren’t tested.
