Description
Use the VA Connect app to read publications that are available through i-access, Vision Australia’s online Library service.
The app’s accessible interface allows you to search, select and read a vast range of books and other publications. You can also subscribe to magazines and daily newspapers.
The app includes a player that can read audio and text-based titles by streaming them from your online bookshelf or download them to read offline.
Among many other features, the player remembers your reading position and you can add your own bookmarks. You can also adjust playback speed, set a sleep timer and adjust the app to suit the way you like to read.

Frustrating
This should be a good app. It’s well designed and easy to use and has all the features I’ve come to expect in an audiobook app.
But it keeps logging me out. I’ve been logged out 4 times in the last two days. And each time I get logged out I have to download all my books again and find where I’m up to. And redo my settings. This has to be fixed for the app to be useable.

Thank you for reporting this and we are sorry that your experience using VA Connect is poor. We have had a similar report and are investigating the cause to remedy this for you and other users. In the meantime, please also check the strength of your network connection as low bandwidth can cause books to take an extraordinary time to download and eventually the app will shut itself off. One problem
Since the new update there is no way for the daisy format audiobook to see not say the page number this in itself is not a major problem but the fact there is no switch to turn this off so while you’re immersed in a book you’ll hear 75 or whatever page number you up to in the middle of your story all I ask is that you add an a on off switch for this feature I have called them and yet they still have not done anything yet

Thank you for your feedback. We have taken your feedback on board and an improved version of the app is available that has a user configurable setting that allows you to turn off the reading of page numbers that interrupt the flow of the narration.
Last up date
I would like to know how to get rid of magazines and newspapers I know longer want to see I finally got in but I do not like this update I have to remove something to 3 times before it goes and I do not call VA new layout user friendly With this last up date I have been logged out of my account and cannot get back in
