Love their food, but this app isn’t it

I ordered food but the DoorDash Driver cancelled. That change appeared on the app, and I figured Doordash would supply another driver - but there was no communication from the store, nothing about this in the Help Guide, and I submitted a support request but got no response.
I finally rang the store, but there was no answer - they’d closed a couple of minutes earlier.
I submitted another support request, and had to place an order for food with UberEats.
Nearly 24 hours after I submitted my order, I have received a form email about a refund, but it’ll take 3-5 days for the money to appear in my bank account.
No apology for the lack of driver, no offer of anything for my next order… pretty disappointed, especially because the food is so great (when you get it).
If I order from ZSG again, I’ll do it through UberEats and accept the higher delivery cost as the price of knowing it will definitely arrive.
But I’ll also try some other Greek places, and see how I go.

We're so sorry this experience was less than ideal. This is definitely not how things should work!
Door Dash should automatically send out another driver to you as long as the driver has not picked up the food our end (we hit a picked up button when collected to let their system know the food has left the restaurant). We submit cases like this as driver fraud to Door Dash/Uber as in most cases, the food was taken by the driver. It is rare but happens. It's very unlucky that the store has closed and we're sorry that there was no communication from us. Even worse than old app

This new app is even worse than the old app. I generally eat in and the dine in option didn’t work and said I couldn’t get delivery to this address while I was standing inside the store.

Sauce sides isn’t on the menu to choose either.

We're sorry you're not enjoying the new app. When dining in you can use your Legend Membership rewards by using the table pucks that are connected to the app or by giving the person at the counter your email to apply your rewards on ordering in person.

Arrived cold, poor customer service

The meal arrived cold to the point the yoghurt dressing had congealed! Upon reading the other reviews it sounds like the delivery component has major logistical issues.

The app directs you to call the store, except that the store attendants are too busy serving customers. They told me to take it up with Uber directly, but they don’t have a record of my order as I ordered it through this app. Further, this app has no option to lodge a complaint like the Uber eats app does - but if you order via Uber eats you pay a premium of 30-40%.

My suggestion to developers is to let Uber eats do what they do best and fairly price on their app. $21 for a pita wrap is a shocking mark up for something you’d pay £7 for in Greece. Zeus himself would be rolling on Mount Olympus!

My other suggestion is for the kitchen to be mindful of delivery driver ETA.
