Description
The authorities are looking for faster and safer ways to inform you. GovApp is a free mobile application that allows you to receive official messages from the authorities. All you need is your phone number. Your national registration number is not required.
GovApp replaces the current SMS notifications, which are short and not very user-friendly. GovApp ensures that the message actually comes from the authorities, hence reducing the risk of fraudulent SMSes (phishing).

Bonjour
J’avais installé l’application et avais déjà reçu une notification. J’ai consulté CovidSafe et ,à ce moment, je suis réorientée vers GovApp où on me demande mes coordonnées.
Lorsque j’accède à GovApp, la notification a disparu. C’est comme si je venais d’installer l’application. Le programme n’a pas tenu compte que je l’avais déjà fait précédemment.
Je ne suis pas la seule personne concernée.
Y a t’il des raisons pour ne pas regrouper les 2 applications ?
Old feel
Looks and feels old. Icon is so 2000s, no functionality that would make it easier than receiving a text message. No option to select how one wants to receive notifications (app or text). Don’t see the benefits of this app.
Google really ???
Why, o why is Google involved in a governmental application where privacy should be a top priority?
