Privacy
We know the things that you type on your phone are personal, so we’ve designed Gboard to keep your private information private.
What Gboard sends to Google:
• Gboard sends your searches to Google’s web servers to give you search results.
• Gboard also sends usage statistics to Google to let us know which features are used most often and to help us understand problems if the app crashes.
• If you use Gboard’s microphone, voice input will be sent to Google for transcription.
What Gboard doesn’t send to Google:
• Other than your searches and voice inputs, Gboard doesn't send anything you type to Google, whether it’s a password or chat with a friend.
• To help you with spelling and to predict searches you might be interested in, Gboard will store the words you type on your device. This data is not accessible by Google or by any apps, and can be cleared at any time.
• If you’ve turned on contacts search in Gboard search settings, this allows Gboard to search the contacts on your device so that you can easily share. None of these queries is sent to Google.
I use Gboard for dictation. I presse the microphone to start dictation , Gboard Opens the window and recognizes dictation however, after dictation is complete Gboard doesn’t close dictation window and doesn’t insert recognized text into the text field on iPhone 15 Pro with latest updates the same function works correctly on iPhone X

The app is great. I use it for years. Please update asap for iOS v26 - it has bugs. In Viber or messenger for example when I start to type the keyboard stands on top instead of pinned down to it's place. Thus it overrides the app's window. Please update if possible the voice recognition function. By now it's almost unusable.Thank you in advance!Best regards from Bulgaria!
Speach to text not working for iPhone/iPad
Tutu_Mit
When you press the microphone symbol to use the dictation function, instead of the text to appear in the field, where you placed the cursor, the whole screen turns white, the dictated text appears in this white screen and you need to press a “send” symbol to transfer the dictated text to the field. But this “send” button doesn’t work - instead, the white screen with the dictated text freezes. Please fix this to make Gboard usable also on iPhone/iPad for the otherwise brilliant dictation function!
Perfect, but....

Everything was perfect, this is the best keyboard, but....when i installed iOS 26, The keyboard is presenting bugs like hovering over a message or over half of the screen on Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram and etc. The only workaround i could find is by going back to the chats list and back to the message again.
In this version we have:
• Language improvements for Cantonese (new Jyutping input method, fuzzy selection)
Version 2.3.19
