CCI App will provide, on behalf of Newcrest Mining in Western Canada, a 24/7 emergency telehealth service. The service is set-up to assist clinicians at Brucejack and Red Chris when assessing and treating patients with suspected life or limb-threatening conditions e.g. major trauma, sepsis, seizures, diabetic emergencies, hypothermia, or where treating clinicians feel that a patient warrants emergency time-critical evacuation from site for further assessment or treatment e.g. a patient with severe abdominal pain with a history of peptic ulcer disease. The service is staffed, 24/7, by experienced emergency and / or critical care physicians.
