Why doesn’t the Goose app ask which country I’m going to when buying travel insurance? Right up to the payment page it does not prompt for the country or region that I plan to visit. Some countries are high risk and medical partners may be hard to come by. What happens if a buy a policy and then call them from Nigeria or Pakistan trying to start a claim?

Goose policies covers travellers worldwide with two options; Worldwide Including USA or Worldwide Excluding USA - that is why we ask you if you are going to the United States. I am sure you remember that questions being asked when generating a quote. So it doesn't matter if you are going to Nigeria, Pakistan, India, or Greece; with Goose you are covered as long as your not travelling to a country where the Canadian government has an active Travel Advisory Against (i.e Avoid All Travel). You can find a list of Travel Advisory notices by country here https://travel.gc.ca/travelling/advisories. Also you can make a claim from anywhere and TuGo who is our third party administrator and manages claims has direct pay set up with thousands of hospitals across the globe.
