Hi everyone, hope you’re enjoying the beautiful summer! We’ve been busy preparing for iOS 27. In the meantime, we’ve wrapped up this fun new feature and a bunch of improvements: [Meet the new Piggy Widget] You can now see today’s budget right on the Home Screen with fun piggy artwork that changes throughout the day. [Better widget discovery] We updated the Widgets page in Settings to make it easier to find all available widgets, including the Lock Screen widget. It has been a bit of a hidden gem, but it's actually the widget I use the most because I can check my budget without even unlocking my phone. [Smoother dashboard] We improved scrolling and fixed several crashes that could happen during onboarding. [New category icons] We added pizza and motorcycle icons based on your requests. Looking for another category icon? Let us know! Plus, lots of smaller fixes and improvements throughout the app. Enjoy! Juno

Hi everyone, Today’s Budget v3.0 is here! This release is all about manual logging. Most budgeting apps are built around passive bank syncing. But Today’s Budget has always been built around manual entry, because manual entry creates awareness. When you log $5 for a latte and instantly see your budget drop by $5, that feedback changes behavior. That’s the habit building loop at the heart of the app. So with v3.0, we focused on reducing friction: less hunting around the screen, fewer taps, and more focus on the one thing that matters, logging something quickly and moving on. Because manual is the method! What changed: 1. Faster logging with less friction • A floating + button is now visible throughout the app, so logging is always close by • The first layer of the menu is gone, which means one less tap every time you log • Your most used categories now appear first • Income entry now feels consistent with expense entry • Past income entries are easier to reuse • See more past notes at once 2. Cleaner navigation • Vertical scroll navigation replaces the tab bar for a cleaner main view • Search stays visible at the top while scrolling, so it’s easier to reach from anywhere • Recent activity is easier to get to with a quick scroll • A mini Today’s Budget view now appears at the top while scrolling, and doubles as a quick way back home • The expense page has been redesigned, with a simpler way to switch between recurring and one time expenses 3. Savings Jar, made clearer • You can now add income directly to a Savings Jar • The Savings Jar timeframe is always visible at the top • Add Savings and Withdraw actions are now easier to find • Save Balance and Offset Balance now live under the Savings Jar button, with clearer labels: Cover Overspending and Save Leftover Money • Cards related to the Savings Jar now sit directly below it, including Recent Entries and Emergency Fund 4. A more polished feel • Updated with iOS 26 Liquid Glass UI elements • Refined color palette in both light and dark mode A huge thank you to all our beta testers. Three years ago we launched Today’s Budget. Since then, we’ve added lots of great features, one update at a time. Over time, we also started noticing performance issues, especially for people with larger datasets. So for the last few months, we hit pause on new features and rebuilt the app’s engine to make it faster with larger datasets, and future-proof it using Apple’s latest technologies. Because of this core improvement, we’ve had to revisit every feature, and we took the time to improve them along the way. A lot has improved automatically. For example, the Insights charts have gotten a major refresh: • New summary graph (income, expenses, and savings at a glance) • Much faster, smoother chart loading • Weekly and yearly views • Rolling and calendar-based options • Search built into every chart • Option to hide recurring expenses to focus on everyday spending • Streamlined navigation and a cleaner look • New “All Time” timeframe to see year-to-year trends since day one • Emergency fund settings: set your target in months Across the app, there are more improvements: • Log view now scrolls smoothly into future dates • Cleaner Settings view … plus lots of small improvements! On the surface, v2.2 may feel familiar, but underneath it’s brand new. This foundation will help us improve Today’s Budget faster going forward.
