The company origin score for non-Canadian companies can vary, sometimes 3/5, sometimes 1/5, whatever the reviewer determines. If a company is not Canadian, it should simply receive 1/5. Post or Kraft are American companies, not “kind of” American. They shouldn’t receive a 3/5 for this. Other American companies, like Coke or Lays are consistently scored 1/5 for this. Again, this is due to flawed user input that skews the final scores of products.

I tried this on items in the house until I found one it did get it was mainly wrong identifying an item made in Kitchener, of 100% canadian fruit, but owned by an international company, to be nearly zero canadian

Useful, but the database needs to be expanded. Instead of relying solely on user data entry, the app should search online and retrieve accurate information automatically using AI APIs.
