Description

Thank you for being a part of my journey with Luminos! As I strive to bring you the best in astronomical software, I want to let you know that, after 12 years of updates, this version of Luminos will be retired in 2023. But there's exciting news: I've developed Luminos Pro, an advanced version that offers even more amazing features and updates. To continue providing support and updates to my existing customers, this version will stay available in the App Store for now. I invite you to explore my latest features and designs in Luminos Pro and join me on this continuing adventure. See you in the stars!

Clear skies,
- John

Thank you!🎼🛸

Thank you for all the work, time and endless energy spent making this app the most excitingly educational astronomy app currently available. The amount of numerical data alone makes this app #1 the other applications are also next level so I would highly recommend this app

This is a well crafted app I love it.

Simply the best astronomy app out there. Also constantly updated. Thanks

Great app but...

Almost every update wipes out the saved site data (telescopes, eyepieces, reducers and Barlow). Have to re-enter them and it's getting a bit tedious with every update. Other than that, the app works great...

Update...app is now working GREAT...luv it

Developer Response ,

I'm sorry to hear you're losing data so much on updates. Brian and I added CloudKit support several years ago so that lists are sync'd automatically between all devices, but CloudKit has proven to be a bit flakey to put it politely. Apple has now deprecated (discontinued) the technology in favor of Cloud Drive and we're working on re-implementing all of the lists using that tech instead. The change will be a considerable improvement because it will allow access to your own files so you can back them up, share them, or even edit them yourself outside of Luminos (we're changing to using simple tab-separated text files). It will be a fair while until that's ready, but I wanted to let you know we're aware of the problems with data loss and that we are working on a replacement. Clear skies! - John and Brian
