Near Disaster of an App

There are so many bugs and problems with this app that it is shocking that NAV Canada relies on this for the safety of Canadian airspace. There are just too many bugs to list here. When you can fumble around the bugs and glitches, areas that have an automatic approval option are an improvement over what used to happen in the days of written, submitted flight plans – hence the 2 stars and not 1. BUT in areas of manual approval, the whole system is really messed up and can take a dis-functionally long time to get an approval. Expect rejected requests with zero information about why, and zero response from NAV Canada when you try to contact them. Sadly, if your livelihood depends on this app to do your job, it will cause a lot of frustration and at its worst, cost you clients when you're unable to get approved flight plans to complete your work for them. Overall, it's a big blow to Canada’s ability to demonstrate leadership, innovation, and progressive thinking in the drone space.

This should get no stars

I have been trying for weeks to get Nav Canada to rectify a fault that means that the app will not accept my drone registration. They only accept e-mail requests and bots do most of the work. The app is dreadful and the lack of support makes flight in controlled airspace impossible, despite advanced certification and meeting all national regulatory requirements. A major change to arrangements is required to make it acceptable.
