HOW IT WORKS
Every month you’ll get a shopping list of items – a perfect mix of classic closet staples (that you likely already own) and the latest seasonal trends. Shop your closet first using the shopping list, then fill in any gaps remaining at your favorite retailer or use the shopping directory provided. With your checklist of clothing items completed, easily get dressed every day using the daily Outfit Formulas provided in your outfit calendar.
SHOPPING LIST
Your interactive monthly shopping list includes a description of the pictured item, a link to shop the exact pictured item, substitution notes if you’d prefer to use clothes you already have, and a shopping directory with 10+ current retailer options that are regularly updated to help fill in any gaps that may be missing in your wardrobe.
CURATE CLOSET STAPLES
Build a solid wardrobe foundation by intentionally reusing closet staple pieces, these are classic basic items that you can wear season after season, year after year. Every shopping list denotes which items are considered closet staples – these are items worth investing in higher quality if your budget allows. After a few seasons of Outfit Formulas® you’ll have most of your basics in place and just need to add in seasonal trends as you like.
SHOPPING DIRECTORY
Every item on your shopping list includes a shopping directory of retailer links for you to browse as you curate your wardrobe. Links to items at the retailers you already know and love like Target, Amazon, H&M, Old Navy, LOFT, J.Crew Factory, Nordstrom + more can be found and are updated regularly – all you need to do is tap that ‘add to cart’ button. Link options are included for petite fit, tall fit, and plus size as well – our program is for everybody and every BODY!
DAILY OUTFIT CALENDAR
Your outfit calendar includes an Outfit Formula to style for every single day of the year. Just tap on today’s date to view the formula and check out which clothing articles it features. Head to your closet to grab the items in the formula, which you’ll already have handy since they were the same pieces on your shopping list, and voila – getting dressed has never been so easy! Each formula also includes suggestions on how to dress the formula up or down to suit your daily events. Once you are dressed you can tap the ‘Wore It Today’ checkbox to log your outfit styling streak!
PERSONALIZE AS YOU LIKE
Not a fan of white jeans, sleeveless tops, shorts, or heels? No problem! Outfit Formulas® provides you with a formula to follow, rather than a specific article of clothing, which means you have the final say of the cut, style, and color for each and every item. You can follow our recommendations to a tee or get creative with your own unique style. The choice is yours!
The flexibility of a formula allows YOU to decide what matters most to you when getting dressed and empowers you to focus on YOUR priorities as you curate your wardrobe. This format allows members to adapt each formula for their own age, size, body shape, budget, climate, personal style, colors, preferred retailers, and lifestyle.

The outfits get very boring very quickly. It seems everyone gets the same outfit. It doesn’t matter what your style, colors, size or weather is. Seeing how others make a complete disaster of the outfits is not helpful. By the time you try to buy something on the ootd it is generally sold out and they don’t offer alternatives. I don’t think it’s worth the money for an extended subscription. Buy it for a month if you are curious but after that it just repeats. They also give me outfits that I would never wear. Short shorts, sleeveless tops, wrong colors for my palette, dresses that are all wrong for me. It’s cookie cutter styling.

I’m sad to have to write a negative review for this app as I have enjoyed the Outfit Formulas products since 2020. However, since the introduction of the app some of the features I valued most (ie seasonal color palettes) have disappeared and now with the latest update, many of the shopping links are not working for me here in Canada. They will not allow me to ask in the Facebook group if any other Canadians are having issues and customer service has done nothing to fix the problem, just telling me to search for similar items online. Well, that defeats the purpose of buying the program in my opinion. Since I signed up for a year in May, and they don’t provide refunds, it looks like I’m stuck with an app I won’t really use for the next eight months.
