We set out to build Rootd after suffering from panic attacks and anxiety for several years. The only help we could find was either too expensive, ineffective, or poorly designed. Our mission is to help others find accessible relief from their panic and anxiety, and to end the stigma against those affected.

I never ever write reviews, but this app deserves the world. I don’t have a subscription but it doesn’t hinder me in any way- I use the panic button ALL THE TIME. It helps so, so much to have a voice tell me everything will be ok. The breathing and visualizations are extremely helpful as well. This app is a lifesaver. THANK YOU. SO MUCH.

If you don’t have a “person” who can help you through these attacks this app is great. It’s tools have helped me through countless major panic attacks. The optional audio for during a panic attack is exactly what I need to hear. Sometimes I play the same statement over and over until I’m ready for the next because they are so true and accurate. Calming. I have suffered with severe panic for my whole life and this app has been a great help ever since I found it for panic attacks that are happening.

April is stress awareness month in the US and Canada, and in particular April 16, 2026 (the day after tax day) is National Stress Awareness Day.
National Stress Awareness Day brings attention to the need for self care tools in people's lives, and apps like Rootd provide accessible tools to achieve lower stress levels.
In fact, a scientific study on the Rootd app showed a decrease in stress levels in participants.
