Descripció
The official City of Toronto TOwaste app provides you with access to your collection schedule, the Waste Wizard sorting tool and drop-off depot and donation locations right from your phone or tablet.
Key features of the app include:
- Waste Wizard: the City's quick and easy search tool with information on how to properly sort over 2,000 items
- Collection schedules and the ability to set reminders and opt in for alerts about service changes. Never miss your garbage or recycling day again!
- Drop-off depots or donation centre locations.
The TOwaste app will help you figure out what waste items go where, what bins to put out on which day and where you can donate items or dispose of other items such as household hazardous waste.

Great app until now
I use this app all the time and it’s been great. There was an update yesterday and now it won’t open for me. Something is wrong with this update, is what I’m thinking.
Latest update made it worse
The number 1 reason to have this app is to see if it’s garbage day or recycling. The app no longer remembers your postal code and so you have to navigate to the calendar and re-enter your address each time.
New Version Fails to Open
This August 18th 2023 app update does not work. If you tap the app after the update installs, it will not open, it just fails to work anymore. It might be best to never to use this update or delete this app until a properly tested app is created…
