Money over safety

If I didn’t need the social connection, I’d underline all the Meta’s apps on my blacklist.

Would be okay but over last few months I’ve reported hundreds of misleading or scamming ads and in 99,9% of cases I got message that “We didn’t remove the ad since it doesn’t go against our advertising standarts.”

Well done, Meta, maybe I am wrong and all the ads are correct, fair and definitively not scamming, like ads about czech president Pavel/politician Babiš and other well known people’s advices on investments that guarantees high multiplier on our investments, scandals about Prachař/Lucie Bílá’s “things they shouldn’t say cuz it has public effect” and most especially Gemini/Quantum AI investments where one guy offers “random stranger” his lamborghini if he won’t get rich in few minutes (paid actors, use google). Maybe these ads are not built to scam users and I am just some kind of theorist cuz I normally can’t understand why Meta backs up these scammers. Or maybe money’s the only priority and Meta supports scammers if they pay Meta fair share.

Hundreds of such ads reported yet existence of these is always protected by Meta.

App full of bugs, almost unsable now

The app has a lot of bugs, some pages when opened, all posts disappear, sometimes they stay only after reloading several times, and then after scrolling down, they disappear again; when replying to comments, it does not create a reply / comment in the same thread, but a level below, when opening a reaction from the notification centre on a comment under a video or a post with a video, it does not open the reaction directly, but I must open the post, switch to all comments and the scroll down and find the reaction,...

One would thing that a company with such resources would be able to create a working app. Well, apparently not. And seeing the low rating from other users, Meta (Facebook) doesn't even seem to care.

Content “moderation” effective censorship

I am not talking about comments spreading misinformation, Facebook barely touches those. Facebook hides certain content from users making it effectively inaccessible to them. For example I was replying to a comment that was by the way spreading misinformation about climate change and after a few replies I couldnt view those comments anymore even when I selected to view all comments lol. Facebook hides specific comment from specific users while at the same time forcing other content on them, thus creating bubbles and reinforcing certain attitudes among Facebook users. Such practices should be illegal. Moreover, no longer can I see the content I actually come to facebook for, instead I see ads, group recommendations. No one should touch this trash, not just the app.
