JavaScript Starter is a focused coding and learning environment for beginners who want to learn JavaScript by writing and running real code.
Write JavaScript programs, run them locally, and view program output, errors, and exceptions—all within the app. Your source code, input, run results, and program output are processed locally and are not uploaded to developer servers.
Learn by Writing Code
The included JavaScript Basics course provides 20 free lessons in four sections covering:
- Your first JavaScript program, variables, values, and arithmetic
- Conditions, comparisons, loops, and small programming projects
- Functions, strings, arrays, and objects
- Array transformations, searching, sorting, reusable code, exceptions, and a final Grade Analyzer project
Each lesson includes an explanation, example code, an editable exercise, expected output, and automatic local validation.

JavaScript Starter includes one editable local workspace for free. JavaScript Starter IDE Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks multiple local projects and complete project management features. IDE Pro is not a subscription and does not renew automatically.
JavaScript Starter uses Apple's JavaScriptCore framework. It does not provide Node.js APIs, npm installation, DOM APIs, arbitrary Web APIs, or third-party native npm modules. Compatibility with every JavaScript package or production project is not guaranteed.
Whether you are writing your first script or practicing essential programming concepts, JavaScript Starter provides a simple place to learn through code.
